Australia-based Nido Education Limited (ASX:NDO) owns, operates and manages long-term early childhood education and care services. The company offers secure, nurturing and serene environment for children in the age group of six weeks old to school age.
The six months ended 30 June 2024 (1HFY24) was a turnaround period for the company as its bottom-line turned positive with a net profit after tax of AUD 3.35 million, compared to a loss of AUD 3.30 million in the previous corresponding period. During the reported period, revenue more than doubled to AUD 75.49 million, driven by higher centre revenue in 1HFY24. Meanwhile, EBITDA jumped by approximately 414% YoY to AUD 17.49 million.
Recent acquisition
Through an ASX update dated 30 September 2024, the company informed that it has completed the acquisition of four services from its incubation pipeline for consideration of AUD 11.85 million. This transaction will not impact CY24 after taking into consideration the acquisition costs. In CY25, the services are expected to contribute AUD 2.6 million in EBIT.
Outlook
In FY24, centre revenue is anticipated to touch AUD 160.9 million and centre EBITDA is forecasted to reach AUD 33.1 million, aligning with the prospectus (PDS) projections. In FY24, NPAT of AUD 20.2 million is expected.
