OPEC is the abbreviation for Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries. It was established in the year 1960 in Baghdad, Iraq. As of January 2020, the OPEC has fourteen members that help to establish the price of crude oil, as the OPEC nations control the majority of the oil-producing assets globally.
