The signing of the MoU comes after Hyundai Motor Group announced setting up a new state-of-the-art Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Centre Singapore to conduct studies on future mobility and discover ground-breaking solutions, services, and disruptive technologies to transform the way commuters used to travel.

What is there in the MoU?

Under this partnership, Hyundai Motor would incorporate its skill in creating innovative automotive and manufacturing solutions with Singtel’s potential in 5G, IoT and next-generation info-communications technologies and solutions to change the method used presently to manufacture vehicles. Both Hyundai Motor Company and Singtel would build & pilot a 5G-enabled smart factory use case for HMGICS’ intelligent manufacturing platform. They would also work to scale it up for implementation throughout Hyundai’s manufacturing plants worldwide.
