Highlights

  • Even in the face of rate hike, BTC and gaming tokens were in the green at the time of writing
  • Pacman Frog claims to be an NFT marketplace and blockchain gaming incubator, with PAC as native token
  • Pacman Frog crypto is not listed on major platforms, which is why due diligence is important

The cryptoverse had rebounded a little at the time of writing, with the total market cap crossing US$1.8 trillion once again, according to CoinMarketCap.

Both BTC and ETH had gained over four per cent in the past 24 hours, and gaming tokens, including MANA, AXS, and SAND, were up more than 10 per cent. Though it is often expected that risky assets like shares and cryptos might come under pressure when the Fed raises rate, this has not happened. The latest rate hike by the Fed seems to have had no impact on cryptos, which have rather entered  a limited bullish phase.

Cryptos are volatile, and no one can predict how long will this rally continue. But as gaming tokens are on a rise, let us know about a new participant in this category -- Pacman Frog.

What is Pacman Frog cryptocurrency?

The project, in its litepaper, claims to be an ecosystem with multiple offerings. First, Pacman Frog has incubation services for gaming entrepreneurs. It says ventures that seek to tap the blockchain tech would be provided the requisite skills. In this respect, “initial game offerings” and “initial metaverse offerings” are also highlighted as services that can help new games raise funds.

Next, the project claims to have non-fungible token (NFT) support. Here, it seeks to act as a marketplace and aggregator for these digital assets. The litepaper also mentions that Pacman Frog can enable cross-chain transfer of assets.

DeFi, which is another popular segment within the cryptoverse, is also said to be a part of Pacman Frog, in that it would enable staking and liquidity management of cryptoassets. The main offering among all appears to be support for blockchain games and launch of NFTs. Cross-chain transfer of assets and even NFT derivatives are the other major claims.

Pacman Frog (PAC) crypto

PAC would be the governance token, in that its holders would be able to vote on key aspects, Pacman Frog claims.

By participating in swapping, PAC crypto holders can also generate yields, according to the litepaper. It is mentioned that the project has tapped Solana’s blockchain network for PAC. Solana’s transaction speed is said to be higher than Ethereum. Pacman Frog’s website is inviting enthusiasts in the presale of PAC tokens. It has yet to list on major exchanges and sites like CoinMarketCap.

Bottom line

Pacman Frog is a new project in the wider cryptoverse, with offerings like gaming incubation and NFT aggregator services. PAC crypto has yet to list on major price tracking websites and trading platforms. Enthusiasts must exercise caution when it comes to new crypto projects. Though gaming tokens have risen sharply in the last 24 hours, cryptos are quite notorious for their price volatility.
