Shares of Australia-based infection prevention company Nanosonics Limited (ASX:NAN) were spotted trading in the red territory on the ASX today (13 December 2022) despite there being no price-sensitive update from the company. Following the decline, one share of Nanosonics was valued at AU$4.350 as of 10:52 AM AEDT, 13 December.
This decline in Nanosonics’ share price could be affected by State Street selling over 3.5 million shares in a week. State Street, one of the substantial holders of Nanosonics, indicated selling down its stake in the company.

- Nanosonics installed 29,850 bases during FY22, up 12% from FY21. The number of installed bases increased by 20% in H2 FY22 from H1 FY22.
- The company’s total revenue for FY22 was AU$120.3 million, up 17% from FY21. The total revenue in the second half of FY22 was 2% lower than in H1 FY22.
- The capital revenue generated by Nanosonics for FY22 was AU$37.7 million, up 41% from FY21 and down 2% in H2 FY22 than in H1 FY21.
- Nanosonics’ consumables and service revenue of AU$82.6 million was 8% higher in FY22 than in FY21; however, it was 1% lower in H2 FY22 than in the first half of FY22.
- During AGM 2022, Nanosonics also shared the results of its Q1 FY23, according to which the company made revenue of AU$52.6 million. This was 42% higher than revenue in Q1 FY22 (36% in constant currency).
- The company’s capital revenue during the first quarter of FY23 improved by 63% from the previous corresponding period.
