Catalina Resources Limited (ASX:CTN) is set to advance exploration at its Breakaway Dam Copper Project, with a major reverse circulation (RC) drilling program expected to begin later this month. The planned approximately 2,400-metre drilling program will target the highest-priority DHEM conductor plates together with interpreted extensions to the mineralised system identified through recent exploration.
The campaign has been designed following geological interpretation, assay results and DHEM survey data collected during the company's March 2026 exploration program.

Drilling Campaign to Test High-Priority Copper Targets
Among the planned holes, BDCRC26018 and BDCRC26019 have been designed to intersect two of the largest modelled conductor plates identified during the March campaign. These targets are interpreted to represent preserved lenses within the volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system, with drilling expected to provide further information on conductor geometry, sulphide distribution, thickness and continuity.
Previous Drilling Confirmed Copper Mineralisation
Historical exploration and Catalina's recent exploration campaign have continued to identify copper mineralisation across the project.
Significant drill intersections included 6.0 metres at 1.19% copper from 185 metres, including 1 metre at 3.86% copper (BDRC10), 8.7 metres estimated true width (ETW) at 0.48% copper from 181 metres, including 0.95 metres at 1.18% copper and 1.7 metres at 1.05% copper (BDCDD2501), and 1.4 metres ETW at 1.97% copper and 0.24% zinc from 236 metres (BDCDD2502).
The maiden drilling campaign completed in March 2026 also intersected 1.9 metres ETW at 2.17% copper from 198 metres (BDCRC26016), together with 2.9 metres ETW at 0.57% copper from 204 metres (BDCRC26014) and 3.8 metres ETW at 0.31% copper from 124 metres (BDCRC26016).
Results from the March exploration campaign expanded the interpreted mineralised strike from approximately 700 metres to 1.2 kilometres, representing an increase of around 70%. Historical drilling indicates the broader mineralised trend extends over up to 1.8 kilometres. Collectively, the findings support the interpretation of a broad VMS system and guide the next phase of drilling.
The campaign also confirmed copper mineralisation at multiple locations and depths while DHEM surveys detected conductive responses in nearly every drill hole. Subsequent modelling identified several on-hole and off-hole conductive plates, which now rank among the project's highest-priority drill targets.
Program Aims to Advance Resource Evaluation
The July 2026 drilling campaign represents the next stage in determining whether the known mineralisation has the grade and scale required to support an Inferred JORC Mineral Resource.
In addition to testing priority conductor plates, the drilling program will target ore-grade intersections, evaluate continuity between the known mineralised zones, identify additional sulphide lenses where present, evaluate priority DHEM plates, and improve geological and structural interpretation.
Mobilisation of Nexgen Drilling Pty Ltd, along with Catalina's geological team and field support personnel, is scheduled for 31 July 2026.
