Highlights

  • Many crypto influencers are educating the masses using platforms like YouTube and Twitter
  • Miss Teen Crypto is one of the influencers, with her own NFTs, and a number of articles including an intro to Bitcoin
  • Young enthusiasts must be extra cautious, particularly in the space of cryptos, which is notorious for volatility

How to invest in cryptocurrencies? Is Bitcoin good? How much money should be parked in cryptos? Are NFTs better than cryptos?

Many are seeking answers to the above questions. Even though cryptos are quite debatable with some like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates on one side and a few like Michael Saylor and Jack Dorsey on the other, due diligence cannot be avoided. To seek quick answers, people, especially the youth, might fall prey to vested interests. This can jeopardise their own interests.

One name popular among the youth willing to a take crypto plunge is Miss Teen Crypto. Let us know more about her.

Who is Miss Teen Crypto?

As of writing, the two different pages of the “official” website of Miss Teen Crypto described her as an “18-year-old girl” in love with crypto, and a “19-year-old cryptocurrency influencer”. She has cited her objective as spreading the adoption of cryptocurrencies. The other pages of her website include an “intro on Bitcoin”, and a “1 minute guide” on getting started with cryptos.

Interestingly, Miss Teen Crypto has appeared on some prominent news channels, including Fox Business. She has also been featured on Insider, USA Today, and The New York Times. Besides, she regularly appears at crypto and NFT events, including NFT.NYC.

In one of the videos on her website, she can be seen apparently giving crypto investment lessons to High School students.

What might you do?

As stated earlier, due diligence is paramount when it comes to cryptocurrencies or for that matter any tradable asset. Miss Teen Crypto not only educates on cryptos, but also provides investment advice. Her own NFTs are also available, which indicates that she can be less critical of any weaknesses that trouble cryptos.

This year so far, cryptos have had a tough time maintaining an even short-term positive price movement. The total market cap has fallen well under US$1 trillion, and new NFT launches of Madonna and Hot Wheels have not produced the same thunder as some previous assets of Beeple and Pak.

Bitcoin price

Bitcoin, which indicates a lot about the crypto market, is trading at under US$20,000, as of writing. In November last year, it was nearly US$68,000, and the price at the beginning of this year was US$47,000.

Bottom line

There are many crypto influencers including Miss Teen Crypto, who has her focus on Gen Z. It is quite possible that some of the young crypto enthusiasts view these influencers as a source of learning. While nothing can be termed bad, it is advisable to always perform due diligence, especially when the cryptoverse has manifested extreme volatility in 2022.
