CGN Resources Limited (ASX:CGR) has commenced its maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Christmas Well Project in Western Australias Leonora Gold Province. The approximately 4,000m drilling campaign will test multiple priority gold targets and is designed to unlock the potential of a large, underexplored gold system. This program marks the company's first drilling initiative across the project after more than a year of exploration planning, project advancement and target generation.

CGR Begins Maiden RC Drilling at Christmas Well

On 18 July 2026, drilling contractor Impact Drilling mobilised to the site and began operations. The drilling program will initially focus on the Ox Tongue target before progressing to the Lambs Fry, Sweetbread and Rocky Mountain Oyster targets. These priority gold prospects were identified through a combination of geological mapping, geophysical surveys and structural interpretation.

The drilling campaign follows more than 12 months of exploration work, including historical data compilation, high-resolution airborne geophysical surveys, heritage assessments, earthworks and drill planning. The program is expected to provide the first drill testesting of large-scale gold targets across the Christmas Well landholding.

Project Located in Established Gold Province

The Christmas Well Project is situated within the Leonora Gold Province, positioned along strike from the Gwalia, Tower Hill, King of the Hills and Harbour Lights gold deposits. The project covers a large landholding along the contact between the Eastern Goldfields Superterraneand theRaeside Batholith, a geological setting associated with gold mineralisation.

Assay Results Expected Following Drilling

Drilling is expected to continue across the priority targets over the next month. The companyplans to submit samples for assay on a weekly basis during the drilling campaign, with results anticipated around four weeks after submission.

CGR shares traded at AUD 0.089 per share at the time of writing on 20 July 2026.
