Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) recently saw changes in its institutional ownership, with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. adjusting its holdings. Oppenheimer reduced its stake by 4.4% in the third quarter, with the firm now holding a total of 173,307 shares in Chevron. This strategic shift was documented in a recent SEC filing, reflecting an updated portfolio approach to Chevron, a prominent name in the energy sector.

In addition to Oppenheimer, several other major investment groups also revised their positions in Chevron over recent months. Marietta Wealth Management LLC, for example, increased its stake by 10.9% during the third quarter, now holding a total of 40,484 shares. Leo Wealth LLC also grew its position in Chevron, expanding its holdings by 19.6% as it actively managed its energy assets during this period. Similarly, Garner Asset Management Corp enhanced its holdings by 14.5% in the second quarter, underlining its interest in Chevron’s performance.

Cantor Fitzgerald Investment Advisors L.P. demonstrated steady interest by increasing its Chevron stake by 3.2% in the third quarter. The firm’s current holdings amount to 114,961 shares, showing its commitment to maintaining a significant position in the energy giant. RPG Investment Advisory LLC followed suit with a 3.4% increase in its Chevron holdings, aligning its strategy with Chevron's ongoing developments.

These portfolio updates reflect the diverse strategies employed by institutional investors as they manage their holdings in the oil and gas sector, with Chevron emerging as a focal point.
