Haranga Resources Limited (ASX:HAR; FRA:65E0) has announced plans to commence its maiden aircore drilling campaign at the Ibel South Gold Permit, located in southeast Senegal. This campaign marks a pivotal step in the company’s efforts to assess gold anomalies previously identified through termite mound sampling (TMS) conducted on the laterite plateau of the Ibel South zone.
The campaign will involve 2,000 metres of drilling across three northwest-southeast oriented lines, scheduled to begin in July 2025. The campaign is designed to test anomalous zones identified through earlier geochemical programs, artisanal mining and historical exploration activities.
Haranga has awarded the drilling contract to FTE Drilling (Forage Technique Eau), chosen through Senegal’s CNSCL tendering process. FTE was selected based on its regional exploration expertise and operational capabilities.
The drilling program will be conducted by Haranga Senegal S.A., a wholly owned Senegal-based subsidiary of Haranga Resources Limited.

Drilling Program Overview
Each hole is planned to be drilled to a depth of approximately 50m or continue until drilling becomes unfeasible. The drill lines have been strategically positioned to intersect regional structural trends and assess the continuity and potential source of surface gold anomalies in the underlying Birimian volcano-sedimentary rocks, which are known to host gold mines in southeastern Senegal.
This drilling program builds on the 2023 TMS geochemical campaign, which reported encouraging gold values of up to 643 ppb in the laterite layer. The target area is marked by artisanal mining pits reaching depths of 4 to 8m. These pits penetrate through the laterite into the mottled zone, providing physical confirmation of gold-bearing structures below the surface.
Accessible and Approved Drilling Site
The drilling will occur on the Ibel plateau, an area that remains accessible even during the rainy season and is currently not used for agriculture. Preliminary approval for the operation has already been granted by local authorities. A forestry inspection and final authorisation are currently in progress to fully approve the drilling activities.
Sampling and Assay Procedures
Haranga will manage all aspects of sampling during the drilling program. Samples will be collected at the drill site, then split and composited at the company's field workshop in Kedougou. These prepared samples will be sent to a certified laboratory in Kedougou for initial processing before being forwarded to regional facilities for gold fire assay using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). Additionally, all samples will be scanned using a portable XRF analyser to detect multi-element anomalies.
Next Steps
With the drill rig currently undergoing maintenance, mobilisation to the site is expected around mid-July. The drilling campaign is planned to be completed within five days.
