Virgin Australia’s other rewards

The company has also announced prizes for its employees who get vaccinated before 15 November 2021. These include additional annual leave, holidays to Hamilton Island, lounge memberships and business class flights.

Virgin CEO Jayne Hrdlicka said that all needed to work together so that the population got vaccinated to the thresholds needed by the government for the life to get back to normal.

How other companies are rewarding fully vaccinated customers

Other than Virgin Australia, several other firms are also offering AU$683,600 worth of rewards to boost the vaccination rate in the country.

The Flying Kangaroo has offered AU$20 off Qantas and Jetstar flights to the fully vaccinated travelers. It also offers extra points and credits and a chance to win a year’s worth of flights and accommodation.

Bottom Line

The offers to reward fully vaccinated travelers are welcome since it would encourage a greater number of people to get vaccinated, ultimately giving a boost to the overall vaccination rate. The government has already made it clear that the restrictions could only be lifted after a sizable number of the population gets vaccinated.
