Highlights:

French independent producer of renewable energy, Neoen and electricity solutions provider, ElectraNet has inked a 30-year Transmission Connection Agreement (TCA). The agreement is signed for the first half of stage 1 of the Goyder South Project.
The first half of stage 1 of the project includes connecting 209 megawatts of wind generation to South Australia. Another agreement for the second half is likely to be executed in the coming months, said Ashely Manna, executive corporate development of ElectraNet.

Details of the Goyder South Project
Goyder South Project is a 412 megawatts onshore wind farm which is being developed in South Australia’s mid north region. Neoen said in a statement that,
Neoen Australia is constructing the wind farm in stage 1 development. It comprises 1.2 gigawatts of wind energy, 900 megawatts of battery storage capacity and 600 megawatts of solar power.
Other agreements inked by Neoen
On 3 November, Neoen informed the market that it had signed a 70 MW renewable energy baseload contract with an ASX listed resource company, BHP Limited (ASX:BHP). Under the contract, the power will be supplied to the Olympic Dam of BHP, which is located in South Australia.
Neoen said that Olympic Dam is one of the most substantial deposits of uranium, gold and copper.
Under the agreement, the company would offer a green energy solution to the mine 24/7. As reported, half of the Goyder South Stage 1’s output will be dedicated to this contract.
