Aussies residing in New South Wales (NSW) Local Government Area (LGA) coronavirus hotspots have a chance to avail AU$20 off on the food ordered from food delivery platform, Uber Eats.
Uber Eats has launched a campaign to ‘get vaxxed for snacks’. Uber Eats’ discount offer can be seen as a way to reward people taking COVID-19 shots.
The discount offer is for the people residing in the very first LGA hotspot of NSW that reaches the 80% double vaccination target, the email by Uber Eats on Tuesday read.
Burwood, Blacktown, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, and Cumberland are some of the areas included in NSW’s LGA COVID-19 hotspots.
Nearly 86% of people in the state have received one shot so far and over 60% have had both doses.
On Monday, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced a three-stage roadmap out of coronavirus lockdown. Daily new COVID-19 cases have fallen to 787 in the state. As of now, it is the lowest infection rate for a month.

Virgin Atlantic’s rewards
Meanwhile, several other companies in the country announced reward offers for people taking COVID-19 shots. Virgin Atlantic recently rolled out rewards including business class flights, lounge memberships, Virgin Australia popular pyjama sets and 1 million Velocity Frequent Flyer Points for one lucky winner.
Prizes were also announced for the company employees who get jabbed before 15 November this year. The prizes include business class flights, additional annual leave, holidays to Hamilton Island.
The Flying Kangaroo has offered AU$20 off on Qantas and Jetstar flights to double vaccinated travelers.
