With the crypto frenzy in Australia reaching new highs, there is bound to be a massive interest in the nation’s biggest crypto and blockchain event - Australian Blockchain Week 2022, which will be held from March 21st to March 25th, 2022.

The five-day event will take place in six Australian cities -- Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Launceston.

Around 200 speakers from 25 countries, including FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, are expected to provide their perspectives on the metaverse, digital asset market trends, payment methods, policies, and blockchain technology.

FTX appointed as naming rights sponsor

FTX, the world's largest crypto derivatives exchange, has been declared as the naming rights sponsor of Australian Blockchain Week 2022.

Blockchain Australia, formed in 2016, is a technology organisation that provides enterprise solutions and consultancy to businesses interested in implementing blockchain technology.

Led by CEO Sam Bankman Fried, FTX has been ranked 12th among the greatest unicorn firms of 2021, with a valuation of US$25 billion, in December 2021.

Bankman-Fried commented on the announcement.

In the past year, FTX has made a number of purchases and sponsorship agreements including a US$135 million deal which saw the exchange purchase the naming rights to the Miami Heat's arena.
