In October 2020, the ATRI token became available to the public and before that, it had undergone three private pre-sale rounds.

Meanwhile, in September this year, the Atari Token project announced that the ATRI token would operate on the Fantom blockchain as well.

Atari Token is set to embrace the blockchain's layer-1 solution, known for faster and cheap transactions.

Fantom's blockchain is more scalable as it adopts the Proof of Stake method instead of Proof of Work, and this makes the transactions more efficient in comparison to Ethereum's blockchain.
