This article primarily focuses on the performance of four leading dairy stocks from the ASX 200 Consumer Staples sector- A2 Milk, Bega Cheese, AHF, and Bubs Australia.

The A2 Milk Company Limited (ASX:A2M)

The shares of The A2 Milk Company Limited (ASX:A2M) closed at AU$4.070 per share on the ASX today (15 June).

There is no significant announcement shared by A2M on the ASX today. However, we assume that the ongoing situation of infant formula milk shortage in the US might turn out as a boon for A2M, just as it did for Bubs. As a result, A2M has garnered investors’ attention on the ASX today.  

The share price of A2 Milk Company has fallen over 31% on the ASX over the past 12 months. On the other hand, A2 Milk Company’s year-to-date share price also fell over 27% (as of 4:10 PM AEST on the ASX today, 15 June).

Bega Cheese Limited (ASX:BGA)

The shares of Bega Cheese Limited (ASX:BGA) closed 0.221% lower at AU$4.500 per share on the ASX today (15 June).

The company did not share any price-sensitive announcement on the ASX today. However, it is likely that share price movement of Bega Cheese was pulled down by the sectoral influence on the ASX today.

The share price of Bega Cheese has fallen over 24% on the ASX over the past 12 months. On the other hand, Bega Cheese’s year-to-date share price also fell over 19% (as of 4:10 PM AEST on the ASX today, 15 June).

Australian Dairy Nutritionals Group (ASX:AHF) 

The shares of the Australian Dairy Nutritionals Group (ASX:AHF) closed 4.687% higher at AU$0.067 per share on the ASX today (15 June).

The share price of Australian Dairy Nutritionals has gained by 67% on the ASX over the past 12 months. On the other hand, AHF’s year-to-date share price also gained over 11% (as of 4:10 PM AEST on the ASX today, 15 June).

Bubs Australia Limited (ASX:BUB) 

The shares of Bubs Australia Limited (ASX:BUB) closed 6.611% lower at AU$0.565 per share on the ASX today (15 June).

On 10 June 2022, Bubs announced that its entire first chartered 747-400F air cargo flight would be purchased by two major infant formula retailers in the USA; The Kroger Co. and new retail partner, Albertsons Companies. These retailers will then begin distributing them to stores and are expected to be available in retail stores from 20 June 2022.

The share price of Bubs has gained over 44% on the ASX over the past 12 months. On the other hand, Bubs’ year-to-date share price also gained over 17% (as of 4:10 PM AEST on the ASX today, 15 June).
