The company’s adjusted EBITDA stood at US$11.60 billion in the year 2019 as compared to the US $15.8 billion in the year 2018, a decrease of 26 per cent. The adjusted EBIT stood at US$4.2 billion as compared to the US $9.1 billion in the year 2018, a decrease of 55 per cent.

The net (loss)/income attributable to equity holders stood at a loss of US $404 million in the year as compared to net income of US$3.4 billion in the year 2018, a decrease of 112 per cent. The (Loss)/earnings per share (Basic) decreased to a loss of US $0.03 in the year 2019 as compared to the earnings of US $0.24 in the year 2018.

The Funds from operations stood at US$7.9 billion in the reported year as compared to US $11.6 billion in the year 2018, a decline of 32 per cent. The Cash generated by operating activities before working capital changes stood at US$10.3 billion in the year 2019 as compared to the US $13.2 billion in the year 2018, a decrease of 22 per cent.

The Net purchase and sale of property, plant and equipment increased to US$5.0 billion in the reported year as compared to US $4.9 billion in the year 2018.

The adjusted earnings before tax increased to €794.6 million in the year as compared to €713.6 million in the year 2018. The adjusted earnings after tax increased to €696 million in the year 2019 as compared to the €624.4 million in the year 2018. The Profit after taxation increased to €566.5 million in the year as compared to €540.5 million in 2018.Â

The basic EPS increased to 320.4 cents in the year 2019 as compared to 305.9 cents in the year 2018. The Adjusted EPS increased to 393.7 cents in the reported year as compared to 353.4 cents in the year 2018.
