Some forms of intelligence are too high-level to be grasped by ordinary people. The saying perfectly fits for Elon Musk, born on 28 June 1971, in South Africa. As a child, Musk used to be so absorbed in his own thoughts, that his parents and doctors had ordered hearing tests to check if he was deaf. However, he was just a daydreaming child prodigy, lost in his future visions.

The passion for technology began at an early age of 10 when he developed an interest in computer programming and in a span of just two years, the young boy sold his first game software called Blaster.
The mega-achiever had a humble beginning. His father was an affluent South African engineer, while his mother, Maye Musk, was a Canadian model. While growing up, he saw his mother taking up multiple jobs simultaneously to support the family.
In 1989, he obtained his Canadian citizenship while pursuing his studies in the Queen's University.
Musk then went to the University of Pennsylvania to pursue dual degrees in business and physics. Once he completed the undergraduate courses, he headed for Stanford University in California to earn his PhD in energy physics. However, Musk dropped out of the university in just two days.
