Marrakesh- a goat in Australia, has set a record as it was sold for $21,000 in Western New South Wales on Wednesday, breaking the previous $12,000 record.
Megan Mosley and her partner Andrew purchased the 79-kilogram breeding buck.
According to media reports, Andrew described it as the most stylish buck. However, he didn’t expect to pay almost a double amount of the previously set record.
Mosely said, “it is very well put together, not too big in size but free in his movement. The goat has got early growth, muscle, and fat cover.
Marrakesh was bred at Rangeland Red Stud near Goodooga and described as a high growth early maturing buck with more oversized frames.
The Moselys raise sheep, cattle, and goats, and they have invested in exclusion fence to keep their herd safe from wild goats while they work on genetics.
