Top 3 performing cryptos of the week: ABBC, SANTOS, STG

  • The overall market cap on 19 August was down by over 8.20%, according to CoinMarketCap.

The crypto markets over the past week have had a volatile week so far with the market cap witnessing both bouts of rallies and fall. In the fact the volatility has resulted in the token’s market cap falling from US$1.13 trillion as on 12 August to US$1.04 trillion. Even on 19 August the overall market cap was down over 8.20% at 1:12 PM (GMT +1).

The market volatility may also be due to the rising inflation in almost all the major economies coupled with reduction of investors amid the prolonged bearish runs.

But despite the bearishness, there were few tokens which have done well in. As on Friday, tokens such as ABBC Coin (ABBC), Santos FC Fan Token (SANTOS), Stargate Finance (STG), FC Proto Fan Token (PORTO), MEVerse (MEV) finished as top gainers of the week.

ABBC Coin (ABBC)

Mcap: US $216,065,005

ABBC is primarily blockchain protocol which provides safe and secure payment transactions. Using three main products, the ABBC acts as multi-platform wallet supporting leading cryptos such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Using the designated proof-of-stake consensus, the ABBC token can complete up 5,000 TPS

The ABBC crypto has been the top gainer of the week, registering gains of over 365.47%, according to CoinMarketCap. The ABBC token, however, wasn’t having the best of days on 19 August as it was down by over 19.40%. ABBC crypto on Friday was trading at US$0.232056.

Santos Fan Token (SANTOS)

Mcap: US $73,866,684

Famous fan token Santos Fan Token (SANTOS) has been hot trends over the past week or so. The governing token of the leading Brazilian football team Santos FC, the SANTOS token allows the fans to relive the fan moment and connect with teams and their favorite players at a closer level.

Launched in partnership with the football club and Binance LaunchPool, the SANTOS token users get the opportunity to stake their BNBs or BUDs and earn rewards without any transaction cost.  

SANTOS crypto finished second on the podium as it gained over 263.73% over the past week. The 291-ranked token as of 19 August, was witnessing a healthy rally of 13.63% and was trading at US$16.23 and a 24-hour volume of US$57,27,56,541, according to CoinMarketCap.

Stargate Finance (STG)

Mcap: US $85,621,959

Stargate Finance (STG) is a community driven protocol which is built on LayerZero. STG aims to ensure cross-chain liquidity transfer easy task in a single transaction. As a decentralized applications, it can seamlessly transfer native assets cross-chain which has access to protocol’s liquidity pool.

The Stargate Finance’s gains over the past week or so has been impressive as it bagged gains of 74.42% over the past week. The crypto’s momentum continued even on 19 August as it rallied over 88.48% and was trading at US $0.639456 with a 24-hour trading volume of US$27,52,98,216.

Conclusion

The rise of two of the relatively unknown tokens must be heartening by it’s critical that one doesn’t take foot off the pedal and must do market research before taking important investment decisions.
