The one-day volume of Radicle (RAD) crypto has skyrocketed by 830 per cent to 743,766,89, according to CoinMarketCap. At the time of writing, the RAD crypto was trading at US$ 18.5 per token after surging 18 per cent in the last 24 hours.

The overall cryptocurrency market has recovered after China banned cryptocurrency transactions in the country. Almost all the cryptocurrencies were trading in the green on Friday, October 8, and in the last 24 hours, Ether jumped by 0.8 per cent to US$ 3,573.47 per token.

Notably, Bitcoin dipped by 1.3 per cent in the last 24 hours but it was still trading above the US$ 50,000-mark. The world's oldest cryptocurrency was trading at US$ 54,047.55 apiece.

Why is the RAD crypto soaring?

According to CoinMarketCap, the little-known cryptocurrency ranks at the 237th position in terms of market capitalization. The massive surge in the one-day volume could be due to its addition to Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world.

Binance listed the RAD crypto on Thursday, October 7, and opened trading for RAD/BTC, RAD/BNB, RAD/BUSD, and RAD/USDT.

Acting as an alternative to Github, the Radicle network allows developers to collaborate through smart contracts. This network doesn't require the permission of centralized system administrators.

As it is a community-based platform, Radicle is an open-source network. Users of this network come together for software collaboration without a need for a third party.

Ever since the network launched its beta mode in December 2020, more than 1,000 projects were published on the platform. Notably, RAD is the native token of the Radicle network and it powers the platform and acts as a governance token.

As decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure is becoming increasingly popular, Radicle is aiming to harness its power and Ethereum to allow developers to truly own their collaboration infrastructure.

The RAD crypto has surged by 124 per cent in the last seven days and after Binance’s move, the cryptocurrency could remain in a bullish zone and reach US$ 24 per token by the end of this year.
