Launched in 2017, Cardano is an open-source blockchain-based platform and makes use of a PoS model known as Ouroboros. Its native token is called ADA.
Its protocol is environmentally sustainable and consumes less power. Also, due to its recent Alonzo update, users can now develop and deploy smart contracts on the platform and also allow the creation of decentralised applications (dApps), thereby providing unparalleled security and sustainability to dApps and systems.
The crypto is currently ranked sixth among the top cryptos worldwide based on the market cap.
Cardano is available across all the major cryptocurrency exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, Gemini, Kraken, FTX, Bybit, and OKX.

Its native token is known as CHZ. At present, there are over six billion CHZ tokens in circulation, while its maximum supply is nearly 8.88 billion tokens.
Chiliz aims to enhance fan engagement experiences as well as it is focused to become an alternative payment solution for conventional products.
It powers Socios, a sports entertainment platform based on blockchain. The latter allows its users to vote on decisions for their favourite sports brands. Here, tokenholders can vote for their favourite sports clubs and can also invest in new sports entities.
Also, by making use of CHZ tokens, holders can buy branded Fan Tokens from several sports teams like FC Barcelona, AS Roma and Juventus, etc. It must be noted that all Fan Tokens are minted using the Chiliz blockchain, are team-specific, and have limited supply. Moreover, holders of these Fan Tokens can receive rewards from their teams.
CHZ tokens can be bought on various crypto exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, FTX, Houbi, etc.
Bottom Line
The crypto market is flooded with thousands of coins which appear to have innovative features and are tempting to invest in. However, investors must conduct in-depth research while investing in these digital tokens.
