- Antipa initiates PFS at Minyari after new gold-copper find
- Early drill results indicate strong mineralisation potential
- Updated resource estimate expected in Q3 2025
Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) is making swift progress at its Minyari Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia, having received approval to commence a Prefeasibility Study (PFS) while also announcing a promising new gold-copper discovery from its phase one drilling campaign.
The PFS will evaluate the development potential of the Minyari Dome structure, integrating both technical and non-technical workstreams. These initiatives aim to enhance the project's viability and further de-risk its development. Antipa is also actively working through the permitting process to advance the project's long-term goals.
Alongside the PFS, the company has kicked off a comprehensive resource definition drilling program, utilising two diamond core rigs and one reverse circulation rig. The current focus is on expanding known mineralisation and exploring greenfield targets that have not been previously tested. A revised resource estimate, based on the full set of phase one drilling results, is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2025.
The recent discovery, located south of the Fiama and Rizzo targets, highlights Antipa's ability to uncover new zones of mineralisation. Significant drill intersections include:
- 21 metres at 1.8g/t gold and 0.06% copper from 44 metres, including 4 metres at 8.6g/t gold
- 41 metres at 0.16g/t gold and 0.15% copper from 4 metres
In addition to the new find, extensions to known deposits at GEO-01 and Minella have been confirmed, particularly at greater depths. This suggests broader scalability for the Minyari Dome resource, which currently includes an estimated 2.5 million ounces of gold, 84,000 tonnes of copper, 666,000 ounces of silver, and 13,000 tonnes of cobalt.
The Minyari Project spans approximately 4,100 square kilometres in the Paterson Province and remains a key asset in Antipa’s portfolio. With only 30% of assays returned so far from the current drilling campaign, early results are viewed as highly encouraging. The company is also expanding its internal capabilities to support technical and strategic project development.
While Antipa Minerals is not part of the ASX 200 stock index, the company continues to attract attention through its focused exploration and methodical advancement strategy in one of Australia’s most prospective mineral provinces.
