The Australian share market performed well today (May 11) as the benchmark index ASX 200 closed 0.19% higher at 7,064.70 points.

However, S&P/ASX 200 Energy ended 0.125 or 12.20 points lower today at 9,945.10 points. Also, energy was one of the worst-performing sectors on Wednesday (11 May 2022).

Similarly, many energy companies' shares fell today. In this article, we will talk about the performances of three uranium companies.

Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX:PDN)

Paladin Energy's shares closed 1.45% lower today at AU$0.68 per share on ASX. Paladin Energy, an ASX-listed Uranium explorer, has a market capitalisation of AU$2.05 billion.

Over the last one year, Paladin Energy shares have gained 30%, while the stock has recorded over 21% negative growth in the last one month.

Paladin Energy Ltd develops and operates uranium mines in Namibia, as well as conducts exploration and assessment work in Australia and Canada.

On 3 May 2022, Paladin Energy informed that the company's Share Purchase Plan (SPP) announced on 6 April 2022, has been completed. The SPP aimed to raise up to AU$15 million at a price of AU$0.72 per share, which was the same as the recent institutional placement offer.

Energy Resources of Australia Limited (ASX:ERA)

Energy Resources of Australia Ltd is an Australia-based company that mines, processes, and sells uranium oxide. The company operates the Ranger uranium mine. The Ranger mine's operational infrastructure is located inside the 79-square-kilometre Ranger Project Area in the Northern Territory of Australia, eight kilometres east of Jabiru and 260 kilometres east of Darwin.

Shares of Energy Resources skyrocketed today and ended 8.47% higher at AU$0.32 each. The company has a current market capitalisation of AU$1.08 billion.

Energy Resources' shares have provided almost 50% returns to its shareholders in last one week, while the company's shares have dropped by 13% in the last one month.

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX:BOE)

Boss Energy Limited explores, develops, and produces uranium. It owns a 100% stake in the Honeymoon uranium project in South Australia, which covers an area of about 2,595 square kilometres.

Earlier, Boss Energy was known as Boss Resources Limited and got its name changed in November 2020.

Boss Energy's shares last exchanged hands at AU$2.17 apiece on ASX today, down 2.25% from its previous close. The company has a market capitalisation of AU$782.72 million.

The uranium-producing company's shares have recorded around 55% growth in the last one year. However, its shares fell around 16% in the previous one month.
