Silk Logistics Holdings Limited (ASX: SLH): The integrated logistics company has signed a deal to buy Perth-based Fremantle Freight & Storage Pty Ltd, a port logistics expert. Shares of Silk Logistics closed trading at AU$2.18 each, up 2.83% on ASX today.
Brickworks Limited (ASX:BKW): Brickworks today announced that it has started a new joint venture manufacturing property trust named Brickworks Manufacturing Trust with Goodman Group. The building material manufacturer's shares ended 1.39% higher at AU$20.41 apiece on ASX today.
Insurance Australia Group Ltd (ASX:IAG): The insurer, which is listed on the ASX, declared a net profit after tax (NPAT) of AU$347 million for the 12 months ended on June 30, 2022, compared to a loss of AU$427 million the year prior. Shares of Insurance Australia Group last exchanged hands at AU$4.21 per share, down 1.41% on ASX today.

In global markets
As the US recovery picked up speed this week, tech stocks had been leading. The Nasdaq Composite's weekly gain increased to 5.3% after an overnight advance of 1.36%. The S&P 500 added 0.99%, giving it a 3.5% weekly gain.
In Asia, the Asia Dow advanced 0.038%, while Nikkei in Japan gained 0.40% at 4.00 PM AEST. On the other hand, Shanghai Composite in China dropped 0.54% while the Hang Seng in Hong Kong fell 0.16% at 4.01 PM AEST.
In Commodities markets
Crude Oil WTI was spotted trading at US$97.58/bbl at 4.08 PM AEST while Brent Oil was at US$105.16/bbl at 4.09 PM AEST.
Gold was at US$1716.81 an ounce and iron ore was at US$100.50/T at 4.10 PM AEST.
