Aguia Resources Limited (ASX:AGR) recently announced robust assay results from the ongoing diamond drilling program at the Andrade Copper Project.
The initial 2,000 metres of drilling is part of Phase 1 of the infill drilling Campaign at the Brazilian copper project. The infill drilling program will include a total of four phases.
Notably, AGR has wrapped up 15 drill holes to a depth of 1,450 metres. The drilling campaign is focused on the shallow and high-grade ore body portions of the deposit.
AGR has encountered the best copper mineralisation intercept drilled so far throughout the deposit in hole AND-22-019, being 10 metres longer than the previous best drill hole. Besides this, the company has also received an important mineralised intercept from the same hole.
AGR has shared the following significant intercepts from two holes:
- 20 metres @ 1.42% Cu & 3.64 gram per tonne Ag (from 76m) returned from Hole AND-22-019.
- 11 metres @ 0.60% Cu & 9.83 g/t Ag (from 83 metres), including 2 metres @ 1.27% Cu & 14.7 gram per tonne Ag returned from Hole AND-22-018.
Results from the previous holes
The earlier holes in that portion delivered substantial high-grade mineralisation, including AGR’s then best intercepts of 28.77 metres grading 1.83% copper from 63.63 metres with a higher-grade zone of 19.39 metres grading 2.55% copper.
The company remains committed to intersecting high-grade copper zones that confirm and extend to the south of the shallow high-grade copper zone within the present Mineral Resource area of the Andrade deposit.
AGR shares traded at AU$0.059 on 22 August 2022.
