Haranga Resources Limited (ASX:HAR FRA:65E0) is committed to advancing its project portfolio in West Africa. The company has an advanced Uranium project in Senegal, where the geological setting also presents the prospect of other high-demand minerals. Recently, the company announced the mobilisation of drilling rig equipment to its exploration camp near the Saraya Uranium Prospect. The company’s maiden diamond drilling campaign subsequently commenced on the 24th of October 2022.

The company also holds interests in gold projects in Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso.

Haranga is driven by a strong leadership team with substantial experience and qualifications to guide the company’s journey to develop its highly prospective gold and advanced uranium asset in West Africa.

The leadership team boasts wide-ranging experience across all operational and governance aspects needed to manage and establish an ASX-listed mining company. The team has been associated with the advancement of projects, from feasibility to production.

Mr Michael Davy - Non-executive chairman

Davy, non-executive chairman of Haranga Resources, is an Australian accountant by profession. He has more than 15 years of experience across a variety of industries.

Besides his role at Haranga, Davy is also serving as a director and the owner of several successful private businesses.

In the last few years, he has held multiple roles as a director across several ASX-listed companies. His other current engagements include the following:

  • Non-executive chairman of Raiden Resources Limited (ASX: RDN)
  • Non-executive director of Arcadia Minerals Limited (ASX: AM7)
  • Non-executive director of Vanadium Resources Limited (ASX: VR8)

Mr John Davis - Non-executive director

A geologist by profession, Davis guides Haranga as a non-executive director. He holds over 30 years of experience in the exploration and development of minerals, including gold, base metals, and rare metals, across Australia and Southern Africa.

He has extensive experience in the gold sector, ranging from regional exploration and resource development to production. This includes his role as an exploration manager/chief geologist for Metana Minerals NL.

Davis was also the founding managing director of Jabiru Metals Ltd, and played a critical role in the discovery of the Jaguar base metal deposit. He has also served as a technical director of Monarch Gold Mining Co Ltd.

Dr Hendrik Schloemann - Non-executive director

Dr Schloemann is a non-executive director at Haranga. He has a strong track record of exploration engagements worldwide.

Dr Schloemann has more than 20 years of experience, particularly across Africa. His experience covers adapting to new social and technical environments, and leading and motivating multicultural teams.

Being a geologist, Dr Schloemann has a history of gold, uranium, pegmatite, diamond, and gemstone exploration.

Notably, he holds experience in a wide variety of corporate requirements for public companies, including raising funds, marketing, corporate compliance, staffing, and the formulation of long-term strategies.

Mr Jean Kaisin – Chief Operating Officer

Mr Kaisin is a geologist, based in Senegal, with more than 23 years’ experience operating in West Africa.

He has been involved in mineral exploration from greenfield work through to completion of feasibility studies. He holds a Master of Sciences – Group of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences from the University of Louvain, Belgium.  He has also completed the Oxford Executive Leadership Program at the Said Business School, Oxford University.

Haranga aims to progress all its projects in the most sustainable and environmentally responsible ways possible. The solid background and extensive experience of the team are expected to remain instrumental in the development of the company’s projects in the future.
