In the latest announcement, Haranga Resources Limited (ASX:HAR; FRA:65E0) shared an update about its geochemical exploration campaign at the Saraya uranium permit, Senegal.
As per the company, the ongoing program has identified new uranium anomalies at the Saraya South prospect. Saraya South is the fourth infill prospect to deliver positive results.
A 600m x 1000m anomaly, known as Katafata, hosting uranium concentrations of around 11ppm, which is 5x higher than the 2ppm background levels, has been delineated from the 2,096-sample infill grid. It has been detected at the foothill of the Eastern Saraya laterite plateau, suggesting a potential continuation under the plateau Westward, into the granite beneath the lateritic cover. This is similar to the company’s known Saraya deposit, which hosts a JORC 16.1Mlb U3O8 Inferred mineral resource @ 587ppm.
