Empire Resources Limited (ASX: ERL) is an ASX-listed gold and copper focused exploration and development company committed to developing a sustainable mineral business from its highly prospective projects – the Penny’s Gold Project, the Yuinmery Project, the Nanadie Project, and the Barloweerie Project. It is advancing exploration of the targets which have demonstrated excellent potential.

Below, we will have a quick review of the key activities undertaken by Empire Resources at some of its projects during the latest quarter ended 30 September 2023.

Rigorous drilling at Yuinmery Copper-Gold Project

Previous drilling at the A-Zone prospect of the Yuinmery Project has suggested gold and copper potential. As mineralisation remains open in all directions, the company believes that further drilling may expand the scale potential of the prospect.

During the September quarter, the company’s geological team collated, and verified logged historical drill core from A-Zone. During this process, additional physical data, such as the 127 individual specific gravity readings, was gathered and measured, which is expected to help in analysing the potential of resource growth at A-Zone.

Going forward, the company will conduct physical data testwork as well as further drill campaigns to study the extents of the near surface mineralisation up-dip to the west and along strike to the north.

Mineralisation at YT01 Prospect

As per the drilling results received so far for the YT01 prospect, the hypothesis that zones of Cu mineralisation exist along strike from section 687,250mE in both directions is reinforced. The results ascertain a thickening in mineralisation immediately along strike to the east and down dip to the north.

ERL is looking forward to conduct Induced Polarisation (IP) geophysical surveys to identify extensions of the sulphidic zones within the immediate area of YT01.

Advancements at Barloweerie Project

At the Barloweerie Project, Empire is focusing on the B1 Prospect, which is characterised by outcropping mineralisation on the basis of historical drilling, surface geochemical sampling (LAG and rock chip) and mapping.

During the quarter, the company’s geological team visited the Barloweerie project site for assessment of geological environment along with site access conditions so as to prep up for drilling program at the B1 target. ERL intends to submit the statutory Programme of Works once the plan along with stakeholder consultation is completed.

ERL shares last traded at AU$0.005 on 30 October 2023, with ERL's market cap over AU$5.56 million.
