Highlights
- Drone survey and field work have been concluded at the Dingo Hole highly pure quartz project.
- Areas for resource delineation were identified through the digital terrain model (DTM).
- Over 20 samples collected to verify high-purity quartz grade and geology consistency.
- SRK Consulting engaged to estimate exploration target range using historical data and recent findings.
- Initial assay results are expected by late August.
Australasian Metals Limited (ASX: A8G) has announced significant progress at its Dingo Hole highly pure quartz project (EL31078) in the Northern Territory. The company's technical team successfully completed fieldwork and a drone DTM survey at the project site.
During the survey, samples were collected from various parts of the Dingo Hole area for assessment. The digital terrain model, generated from drone photogrammetry, highlighted topographic highs correlating with silica outcrops.
This survey marks the initial phase for future resource delineation work.

Sample Collection and Analysis
More than 20 samples, weighing between 1kg and 2kg each, have been gathered to validate historical assay results and assess the geology and grade consistency of the high purity quartz unit. These samples are currently undergoing analysis at a specialised laboratory in Melbourne renowned for its expertise in high-purity silica.
Exploration target range study by SRK Consulting
SRK Consulting Pty Ltd has been engaged by A8G to conduct an exploration target range study. An SRK consultant joined the company's team during their field trip in June.
SRK Consulting is working on estimating an exploration target range for the company by incorporating both historical data and recent fieldwork results. The findings are expected to be finalised by the end of this month.
Plans ahead
The collected samples will first undergo raw material assay, followed by preliminary preparation and a second round of assays in collaboration with the laboratory. The results are expected by late August or early September. Additionally, the company has retained over 80kg of bulk samples in Alice Springs, earmarked for testing with potential offtake partners in the second half of the year.
Project Details
The Dingo Hole project, spanning 35.16km2, is subject to an option agreement between Verdant Minerals Limited and A8G. The project has undergone limited exploration by Rum Jungle Resources Limited, which included geochemical analysis and rock chip sampling. For more detailed information on the project, read here.
