ASX-listed cleantech company Carbonxt Group Ltd (ASX: CG1) has announced an internal restructuring of the US executive team. The move is aimed at advancing the company’s flagship activated carbon (AC) production facility in Kentucky to commencement.

The company has appointed Regina Rodriguez as Chief Executive Officer of Carbonxt Inc, the company’s US subsidiary, effective immediately.

Concurrently, Dr. David Mazyck has been appointed as the President of NewCarbon, LLC. NewCarbon is the company’s flagship activated carbon production facility, located in Kentucky and a joint investment with Kentucky Carbon Processing, LLC.

In his role, Mazyck will exclusively focus on commencing operations at NewCarbon as he will oversee the development and construction of the facility. The company has announced these appointments as part of the US executive team’s internal restructuring as the construction activities advance at NewCarbon.

About Regina Rodriguez

Rodriguez has been associated with Carbonxt for the past ten years and has played a crucial role in the manufacturing implementation of two production facilities. She also managed top clients of the company from a sales and business development perspective.

She completed her PhD at the University of Florida in Environmental Engineering, where she received a National Science Foundation Graduate Student Fellowship. Her research work led to design, development, and application of improved sorbents and other water-quality technologies for water treatment plants, power stations and industrial applications. Presently, Rodriguez holds nine patents.

CG1 shares traded at AU$0.067 apiece, at the time of writing on 21 September 2023.
