Evion Group (ASX:EVG), operating in the critical minerals and mining sector, reported key operational milestones for the March quarter. As a participant within the broader mining segment of the asx 200 index, the company delivered strategic updates relating to its international joint venture and flagship project in Madagascar.
Expandable Graphite Shipment from India Joint Venture
The company marked the initial revenue-generating shipment of expandable graphite from its Indian facility operated under Panthera Graphite Technologies, a collaborative venture with Metachem Manufacturing Co. The delivery was part of a larger order directed to a European customer. The facility, located near Pune, commenced production activity in the latter part of the previous year and is currently preparing additional inventory for dispatch.
Ongoing product movement and pricing trends have supported planning for increased output capacity. A Stage 2 feasibility study is underway with the aim of expanding the annual output of the Indian facility. Operational refinement is also a focus, with attention directed toward managing effluent disposal challenges. An in-house treatment system is being developed with implementation expected later in the year.
Progress on Maniry Graphite Project Permitting
In Madagascar, Evion secured finalised community consent through the completion of its Community Development Plan. This development aligns with regulatory and social prerequisites for progressing the Maniry Graphite Project.
Evion has also been actively engaged in ongoing regulatory discussions with Madagascar’s Ministry of Mines. In parallel, strategic meetings with European Union and International Monetary Fund representatives have been held to explore alignment on long-term resource initiatives.
Environmental assessments are advancing, with national authority visits scheduled to take place at the project site. These inspections will support final permitting efforts, allowing the project to transition from exploration to a production-ready phase. The project is structured around an annual graphite production model developed under definitive feasibility guidelines.
Capital Raising and Financial Activities
During the quarter, Evion enhanced its financial base through capital initiatives, including a rights issue and bonus options allocation. The additional funding has supported expenditures tied to permitting processes at Maniry, corporate functions, and joint venture contributions.
At the end of the reporting period, the company maintained liquidity with available cash resources and reported measured quarterly spending. These activities support Evion’s strategic graphite developments and global supply alignment initiatives.
International Engagement and Industry Outreach
Following the quarter, Evion participated in the Tribeca Future Facing Commodities Conference held in Singapore. The engagement was aligned with ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships within the raw materials supply chain.
Evion continues efforts to secure formal inclusion of the Maniry project within the European Critical Raw Materials Act. Such recognition may contribute to broader integration within Europe’s mineral sourcing strategies.
Through consistent operational activity and an expanding graphite focus, Evion Group maintains its alignment with global resource development objectives.
