China car sales took a down stroll for the third straight month in September 2019 Says CPCA

As per the data from the China Passenger Car Association (or CPCA), retail sales of passenger vehicles in China fell by 6.6 per cent against the previous year to stand at 1.81 million units.

  • However, on a monthly basis, the retail sales of sedans, multi-purpose vehicles (or MPVs), sport utility vehicles (or SUVs) and minivans rose 13.8% in September 2019;
  • For the first 3 quarters of 2019, sales came in at 15.03 million units, down 8.9% from the same period last year.
