Breville Group Limited (ASX: BRG) is engaged in design, development, marketing and distribution of small electrical appliances in more than 50 countries across the world which includes Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, UK and Germany. It is an eighty-seven years old global, innovation-driven product company in the small domestic appliance market. The company started its journey as a small importer of basic homewares items in 1957, and by 1997, it grew substantially and acquired the US-based Metro Marketing before it got listed on ASX in 1999. The company markets its global products under Breville™ and in EU as Sage™.

The stock of BRG has generated an impressive return of 2476% since its inception and a decent YTD return of 87.25%.

On 30 April 2019, the company in the Macquarie Investor Conference discussed the success story of Breville’s products. Breville Group Limited strives for continuous innovation for solving its customer problems. The products of the company are precisely engineered and tested to solve the real consumer challenges. Every product at Breville starts as a consumer problem.

The company’s growth engine comprises of new product development, go to market, geographic expansion and the inorganic growth. On a relative basis, the company has plenty of space in North America, Europe and the rest of the world.

In FY2018, the segment revenue in ANZ was A$124 million, in North America it was A$304 million, in Europe the segment revenue was $62 million and in rest of the world was $38 million. Over the last three years, the revenue of the company increased by 24% with 25% EBIT growth rate.

The company’s non-executive director, Sally Herman who earlier had a direct interest in 30,000 ordinary shares, recently acquired another 6,000 shares for $82,740, now holding a total 36,000 ordinary shares.

For the half year ended 31 December 2018, there was an increase in the revenue of the company by 15.4% to $440.4 million. The EBIT also increased by 12.9% to $62.3 million. The company declared an interim dividend of 18.5 cents per share which was 60% franked. The company in the remaining part of FY2019 expects that the EBIT for FY2019 would be slightly higher than 11%.

With the market open on 3 May 2019, the opening price of the shares of Breville Group Limited was A$19.20. The share price went as high as A$19.280; the lowest price recorded for the day was A$18.85. By the end of the trading session on 3 May 2019, the stock closed at A$19.040, down by 2.509% as compared to its previous closing price. Breville Group Limited holds a market capitalization of A$2.48 billion and approximately 130.1 million outstanding shares.
