Highlights
- Surefire is progressing moving-loop electromagnetic (MLEM) survey at Copper Hill, targeting conductive zones linked to copper sulphides.
- Southern Geoscience Consultants leads the survey using high-sensitivity SMARTem 24 technology.
- The survey builds on soil sampling that uncovered elevated copper and zinc anomalies in 2024.
- Copper Hill’s geology shows similarities to known VMS systems like Golden Grove.
Surefire Resources NL (ASX:SRN) has provided an operational update on the ongoing moving-loop electromagnetic (MLEM) survey at its wholly owned Copper Hill Project in Western Australia's Murchison region. The survey aims to identify and prioritise conductive targets potentially linked to copper sulphide mineralisation for future drilling campaigns.
Survey operations are proceeding smoothly, and Surefire has indicated that it will continue to update shareholders as data is gathered and interpreted. The results of this program are expected to help refine drill targets and support the next phase of exploration.
The program, designed by Southern Geoscience Consultants, employs a high-sensitivity SMARTem 24 system, for the planned 125 survey stations.
The receptor stations are along nine (9) north–south survey lines spaced 200m apart with 100m station spacing. This work builds upon prior soil sampling conducted in 2024 that revealed elevated copper and zinc levels and follows up on historic drill log observations of copper sulphides and native copper occurrences in the area.
Copper Hill lies in proximity to Surefire’s Yidby Gold Project, where drilling activities are also underway. This geographic overlap may provide synergies in exploration logistics and regional geological understanding. The company believes that the geological context of Copper Hill shows similarities with known Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) systems, such as those at Golden Grove, adding further prospectivity to the area.
