Wetherspoon to sell pints of ale for 99 pence

Wetherspoon (J.D.) Plc (LON:JDW), the largest pub chain of Britain, will sell pints of ale for 99 pence to try to clear stock ahead of the new lockdown.

  • The pub chain has launched a three-day sale before the second national lockdown comes into force on Thursday.
  • Wetherspoon had already slashed prices to keep the customers coming into the pubs and has now decided to reduce prices further to reduce waste before going for a month-long of shutdown.
  • The company will be closing around 900 of its pubs on Wednesday at 10 pm before the lockdown.
  • On 3 November 2020, the stocks of the company improved by 3.39% from its previous closing, hovering at around GBX 884.00 at 08:44 AM GMT+1.
