Smurfit Kappa Group Plc reports revenue of €2,194 million in first-quarter 2020

Smurfit Kappa Group Plc (LON:SKG) has released its trading statement for the 3 months to 31 March 2020 and an update on the impact of COVID-19 on its business.

  • The company’s Revenue for the period was reported at €2,194 million, while the EBITDA was €380 million. The company’s EBITDA margin for the reported quarter was 17.3 per cent.
  • The company has further reported that at the end of the first quarter the Group had liquidity of over €1.5 billion.
  • The group’s average debt maturities were of over 5 years, all of them were supported by its robust operational free-cash-flow. While, at the end of the quarter the Balance Sheet continued to be strong with leverage of 2.2x.
  • On 15th April 2020, at the time of writing, GMT 08:10 AM, SKG shares were trading at GBX 2,262.00, down by 2.00 points or 0.09% against the previous day closing price.
