Schlumberger Ltd becomes the first company to commit to science-based target in emissions reduction

  Schlumberger Ltd (LON: SCL) has informed that it has become the first company in upstream E&P services to commit to science-based target in emissions reduction.
  • The company’s pledge has been presented to the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative), in line with the specified standards and it will outline its reduction target by 2021.
  • The SBTi boasts a science-based target setting, which in accordance with the latest climate science must comply with the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
  • On 20th December 2019, at the time of writing, GMT 08:04 AM, SCL shares were trading at USD 46.30, unchanged against the previous day closing price.
