As we step into a world post-COVID-19, there’s a good chance you’re looking to do all you can to make the most of freedom from lockdowns, and for many, that means working on stepping into a new career.

Though the pandemic may have ‘ruined’ countless industries and businesses across the globe, there is still a myriad of those that continue to grow and are only looking to get larger in the years to come. Some of these were unpredicted, while the pandemic itself kickstarted others.

That said, let’s take a look at the five jobs to consider in the years to come with the highest growth potential.

1. Transport Logistics Positions

You may have been one of the millions of people ordering excessive numbers of products and food-stuffs online during the pandemic, and that has since snowballed into creating one of the fastest-growing and in-demand roles in the country, transport logistics managers and general staff.

As you may have guessed, more people are well-attuned to ordering products and shopping online than ever before. This has since made the field one of high growth and prosperity, seeing as though many of us are unlikely to stop ordering a lot of our food and general products online.

With a logistics course in hand from providers like Monarch, you will be well on your way to stepping into a field that is accelerating at a pace never before seen, as well as being a somewhat active and exciting one to boot.

2. Telehealth Professionals

Another job to consider is in the telehealth field as either a doctor, assistant, or essentially working as a man-in-the-middle to assess issues with health before handing off your call to a specialist or an expert able to help out.

Again, a role pushed forward by the pandemic, the telehealth industry and subsequent roles are looking at growth far above the industry standard, and with COVID-19 changing workflows for GPs and clinics permanently across the country, a telehealth role may be required in just about all medical health practices across the globe. This change is likely to be so profound that investors are betting on telehealth in a big way.

One thing to keep in mind with these types of roles is that they require a similar or the same education as a medical professional, and so a multi-year degree in medicine may be a requirement even for those who are only considering the telehealth role on its own.

3. Manufacturing Roles

As you could have guessed, the COVID-19 pandemic also pushed forward the need for local manufacturing and production of goods outside of China. And with this, we’re going to suggest looking at roles in manufacturing for high growth over the long term.

It isn’t a secret that just about all nations across the globe, both developed and undeveloped make use of Chinese manufacturing services for their goods, and when the pandemic grinding Chinese production to a halt, the world’s remaining 6 billion citizens had little direction to go with regards to having products developed or delivered.

With that in mind, locally run factories are now cropping up across the country and demanding machine operators, production workers and more.

4. Robotic Engineers

A rather nuanced and overlooked role until recently is the robotic-related role. With organisations both big and small looking to automate as much of their previously human workflows, more and more robotics engineers are being sought than ever before.

It is good to know that these types of roles see demand across just about every industry, making them a diverse and rather exhilarating option for our readers looking to move across different industries rather than sticking to just one.

For example, cooks, meatpackers, truck drivers, and even supply chain managers are looking to be replaced by robots by the biggest corporations out there, and so queue the robotic engineers.

5. Real Estate Agent

Our final role to consider in a post-pandemic world is the real estate agent.

As interest rates flatline across the planet, there is more money splashing around in the housing market than ever before, and with this, demand for real estate agents to assist in the sale of homes is going through the roof - no pun intended.

Home sales are looking to accelerate in the years to come and aren’t predicted to flatten any time soon, and with this, careers in real estate are a sure bet for 2021 and beyond.
