Salesforce has introduced a $55,000 worth benefit package to its transgender employees in New Zealand and Australia. The package covers hormonal therapy, prescription drugs and affirmation surgeries. The fund can also be used for hair transplant, $500 for wardrobe allowance for those planning to change their gender and $1000 for legal costs of updating the gender status on birth certificates.

In addition to this, the employees will be benefited from four weeks of paid leaves. Salesforce has also given importance to mental health as the company will arrange counselling for the employees who recently discovered their true identity and their loved ones.
The Salesforce announced the gender-inclusive plan this week as this week is ‘Transgender Awareness Week’. Previously, the transgender befit plan was limited to Canada and the US, and now the plan has been rolled out globally.
