A countrywide outage was reported due to some issues with Vodafone’s 4G mobile data service operations on Tuesday evening. The Vodafone customers all over the country had trouble in accessing the Internet for hours.
Vodafone is still investigating the root cause of the nationwide disruption in its 4G mobile data operations and has started a full-scale review of the issue this morning.
Vodafone Customers were put to inconvenience
While Vodafone had apologised and restored its mobile data services, the customers said that they were experiencing an occasional loss of 4G internet connectivity.

A Company statement said that the technical team of Vodafone was looking into the matter and repairing the network that had caused nationwide disruption in the services.
Even though by 7.50 pm, Tuesday, the services had been restored, the Company spokesperson said that the authorities were actively monitoring the situation as it was being brought to normal.
Vodafone also said that the outage impacted only the post-pay customers.
However, despite Vodafone claiming that outage affected only the 4G customers, there were reports that it affected the 3G clients also.
Some Customers also complained that they had no internet access of wireless broadband and were unable to get through to the Company.
Earlier also in 2019, there was a similar internet outage that affected users throughout the country. At that time, the outage lasted for 30 minutes, but the Company could not identify the real cause of the outage.
