What is Internet Computer (ICP)?
Internet Computer is the world’s first blockchain that runs at high speeds with unbounded capacity. It is the third major blockchain innovation after Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
It assesses the smart contract computation and data at high internet speed and processes and stores data efficiently while offering potent software frameworks for developers.
These features offer a new way for building tokenized internet services, pan-industry platforms, decentralized financial systems, and even traditional enterprise systems and websites.

Founding of Internet Computer (ICP)
Crypto enthusiasts Dominic Williams founded Internet Computer in October 2016.
The DFINITY Foundation, where the ICP was developed, raised over US$120 million from contributors like SV Angel, Aspect Ventures, Polychain Capital, etc.
In 2018, more than 50,000 registered participants received the ICP utility tokens in an airdrop. In the same year on Dec 18, DFINITY launched the alpha manner of the Internet Computer.

DFINITY took the final step towards decentralization in May 2021, when it launched the Internet Computer in the public domain.
The ICP coin is available on exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, Gate.io, etc.
