The term ‘Godfather Offer’ came from the popular gangster movie named Godfather wherein the phrase - “I am going to make him an offer, he can’t refuse”, was used several times. In financial terminology, the term ‘Godfather Offer’ is used when a company gives other company a widely generous acquisition offer, forcing the company to accept it.
