UK based pharma major, AstraZeneca Plc (LON:AZN), which is developing COVID-19 vaccine with the University of Oxford stated that it had paused late-stage trial of the COVID-19 vaccine candidate. The trial was put on hold after a volunteer developed some unexplained illness. AstraZeneca/Oxford COVID-19 vaccine AZD1222 is under the late-stages of clinical trials. The Company stated it voluntarily paused vaccination for review of safety information by an independent committee.

Bubs Australia Limited (ASX:BUB) announced the opening of the share purchase plan to eligible shareholders of the Company with a registered addresses in Australia or New Zealand. The SPP allows Eligible Shareholders to apply for up to $30,000 of new fully paid ordinary shares. SPP is subjected to certain limitation. Moreover, SPP shares would have equal rank with the existing shares of the company from their issue date and shall be offered at $0.80 per share.

As per ABS data, total filled jobs declined by 6.4% while number of hours worked dropped by 9.8% between March and June quarter of 2020. The Labour Account showed a loss of around 932,000 jobs between March and June. The fall in filled jobs was more noticeable in the private sector which was down 7.1% compared to 1.9% fall in the public sector. Number of secondary jobs fell by 19.6% while the number of job vacancies dropped 42.1% over the June quarter.
