  • Tambourah King gold lode extended by 200 metres
  • Consistent high-grade gold intersections from recent drilling
  • New drilling phase supported by WA government co-funding

Tambourah Metals (ASX:TMB) is making significant strides at its Tambourah gold project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, with recent drilling extending the high-grade Tambourah King gold lode by 200 metres.

The latest reverse circulation drilling program, covering 879 metres across 11 holes, has successfully intersected the targeted structure at every hole. Encouragingly, these intersections revealed consistently elevated gold grades, associated with sulphides and quartz veining, strengthening the project's growth prospects.

The focus of the drilling was to target extensions of the known Tambourah King high-grade mineralisation. Previously, notable results included 2.65 metres at 32.3 grams per tonne (g/t) from 58.35 metres, featuring a richer 1.05 metres at 77g/t from 59.05 metres. The new program built upon this success with highlight intercepts such as 3 metres at 2.99g/t from 36 metres and 2 metres at 3.68g/t from 47 metres.

Preparations are underway for the next stage of exploration, which will include testing priority gold targets across the Tambourah Gold project. This next phase is bolstered by up to $180,000 in co-funding support from the Western Australian government’s Round 30 Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS) drilling grant program.

Tambourah Metals (TMB) reported that the mineralised structure at Tambourah King remains open both to the north and south, with the current drilling confirming significant gold mineralisation down to a vertical depth of 70 metres. Plans are now in motion to extend drilling and develop a preliminary inferred gold resource model.

In parallel, the company is also advancing geological mapping and geochemical sampling across multiple prospects within the broader Tambourah field. Two promising targets, Alexandria and Young Australian, located south-east of Tambourah King, are among the undrilled prospects identified for future testing. Newly acquired data is helping to refine the selection of drill targets for the upcoming exploration activities.

The Tambourah gold field, situated approximately 85km south-west of Marble Bar, features a series of shallow workings over a strike length of 3km, based on north-south oriented quartz lodes.

The ongoing success at Tambourah King highlights the growing potential of Tambourah Metals (TMB) as it progresses its exploration strategy in one of Australia’s historically rich goldfields.
