Highlights

  • High-grade surface auger samples confirm strong gold presence
  • Over 1 km mineralised strike identified at key prospects
  • Major 30,000m drill campaign scheduled to begin June 2025

Geopacific Resources (ASX:GPR) has unveiled highly encouraging exploration outcomes at its Woodlark Project, with the latest surface auger sampling program delivering standout gold assay results. The campaign focused on two promising prospects—Wayai Creek SSW and Little MacKenzie—both demonstrating significant gold mineralisation.

Encouraging Grades and Mineralised Zones

The surface auger sampling returned multiple zones grading above 1.0 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, with a peak assay reaching an impressive 63.6 g/t. These results underscore the high-grade potential of the area and reinforce confidence in the exploration model.

Importantly, both Wayai Creek SSW and Little MacKenzie now exhibit mineralised strike lengths of over 1 kilometre. These extensive zones, identified through surface anomalies and high-grade results, are a positive indicator for further subsurface exploration.

Project Advancement and Next Steps

To refine the geological understanding and pinpoint precise drilling locations, trenching is currently underway across the targeted areas. These trenches are expected to provide valuable structural and geochemical context to support the upcoming large-scale drilling campaign.

Geopacific Resources is gearing up for a 30,000-metre drilling program, comprising both reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling. The campaign, slated to commence in June 2025, is designed to extend known gold zones and test newly identified targets. This initiative aims to ultimately enhance the company's Mineral Resource inventory.

Broader Strategic Vision

These developments form a crucial part of the broader strategy to grow the Woodlark Project’s resource base, currently estimated at 1.67 million ounces (Moz) of gold. The high-grade surface results and extensive mineralised footprints indicate substantial upside potential for future resource upgrades.

Management at Geopacific has expressed optimism about the unfolding exploration narrative. The robust assay results from Wayai Creek and Little MacKenzie are considered valuable additions to the company’s development pipeline.

The ongoing work reflects a methodical and data-driven approach to expanding gold resources and unlocking further value at the Woodlark Project. With the commencement of the drilling campaign imminent, the next phase of exploration could be pivotal in shaping the project’s long-term trajectory.

Geopacific Resources (GPR) continues to demonstrate growing momentum as it transitions from strong surface indicators toward deeper discovery opportunities, positioning the company for a potentially rewarding year ahead in gold exploration.
