Artemis Resources Ltd (ASX:ARV) has appointed experienced geologist and mining executive Julian Hanna as its new managing director. His appointment, subject to London Stock Exchange AIM market requirements, underscores the company’s strategic commitment to advancing its exploration projects in Western Australia.

Hanna, who previously served as a senior technical advisor to Artemis, has been instrumental in crafting the company's exploration strategy. He is set to lead the upcoming 2025 drilling campaign at the Karratha Gold Project, a pivotal initiative aimed at unlocking the potential of key prospects in the Pilbara region.

Leadership with Proven Expertise

Hanna’s career spans decades, marked by significant contributions to exploration and mining. His leadership roles at Western Areas Ltd and MOD Resources Ltd have been pivotal in achieving major discoveries and establishing long-life mining operations. Hanna’s expertise aligns seamlessly with Artemis’ growth ambitions, particularly at the Karratha Gold Project, which boasts a portfolio of highly prospective assets.

Hanna expressed enthusiasm for his new role, emphasizing the potential of Artemis’ projects. The upcoming drilling program will target high-priority prospects, including the Carlow deposit extensions, the Marillion electromagnetic anomaly, and the Titan gold veins. These targets are expected to deliver transformative discoveries that could redefine the company’s growth trajectory.

Strategic Vision for 2025

The 2025 drilling campaign will focus on several high-potential areas within the Karratha Gold Project:

  • Carlow Extensions: Aimed at uncovering high-grade gold and copper deposits at greater depths.
  • Marillion: Exploration of a large electromagnetic anomaly near the Carlow deposit, signaling significant mineralization potential.
  • Titan Gold Veins: Follow-up on surface samples indicating high-grade gold opportunities.
  • Europa and Thorpe Zones: Testing new zones with robust structural and geophysical indicators.

The company’s recent A$4 million capital raise provides the necessary financial foundation to pursue these ambitious exploration goals. This funding will also enable Artemis to evaluate new opportunities, ensuring sustained growth and shareholder value.

Transition in Leadership

Alongside Hanna’s appointment, the company announced the resignation of executive director George Ventouras. Ventouras played a critical role in Artemis’ strategic initiatives, including the successful A$4 million capital raise that underpins the upcoming exploration activities.

Chair Guy Robertson expressed gratitude for Ventouras’ contributions, particularly in securing funding and laying the groundwork for Artemis’ exploration campaigns. Robertson welcomed Hanna as managing director, highlighting his proven ability to lead exploration efforts and deliver tier-one mineral discoveries.

Driving Future Growth

Artemis Resources is poised for a transformative phase under Hanna’s leadership. The focused drilling campaign, combined with a robust financial position, positions the company to unlock significant value from its portfolio. The strategic emphasis on high-priority prospects reflects a clear vision for advancing exploration projects to their full potential.

With a leadership team equipped with industry expertise and a well-defined roadmap for 2025, Artemis Resources is set to capitalize on its opportunities in the Pilbara, driving growth and delivering value to stakeholders.
