Highlights
• Inaugural drilling program returns exceptionally high-grade silver equivalent assays.
• Resource estimate stands at 423Moz of silver equivalent.
• Project located in Nevada with a focus on critical mineral antimony.

Sun Silver (ASX:SS1) operates within the mining sector and is advancing its Maverick Springs project located in Nevada. As one of the largest pre-production primary silver projects listed on the ASX, the asset contains a resource estimate of 423 million ounces of silver equivalent at an average grade of 67.25g/t silver equivalent. The location in Nevada, known for its robust mining industry, places the project among prominent operations in a well-regarded mining district.

Drilling Results

The initial drilling program has delivered noteworthy assay outcomes. One drill hole returned an intercept measuring 132.59 meters at an assay of 54.7g/t silver equivalent. Within this interval, a sub-section of 1.52 meters recorded an assay as high as 887.2g/t silver equivalent. Additional intercepts include intervals of 50.29 meters at 67.1g/t silver equivalent and 60.96 meters at 64.8g/t silver equivalent. These measurements serve to demonstrate the high-grade characteristics observed in the drill program.

Exploration Strategy
The ongoing exploration is focused on the north-west area of the project, where drilling has uncovered zones that exceed the average resource width. The deposit remains open along strike and depth, providing room for further resource expansion through continued exploration efforts. The drill results have contributed to a growing resource base, reinforcing the significance of the project area within the overall asset framework.

Critical Mineral Focus
Antimony, a mineral of interest for various industrial applications including defense and renewable energy sectors, has been identified as a key component within the project. With shifting dynamics in global supply chains and trade practices, the incorporation of critical minerals such as antimony underscores the strategic importance of the asset's location. The assays have recorded favorable antimony results, drawing attention from sectors that value secure and stable mineral sources.
