Pro Medicus Limited (ASX:PME) continues its impressive streak of contract wins, with shares rising 1% on Monday morning to $258.00. The health imaging company announced its fourth major contract in just over a month, securing a $15 million, five-year agreement with Duke University Health System.
While smaller than the company’s recent high-profile deals, this transaction-based contract carries significant potential for future growth and strengthens Pro Medicus’ foothold in North America.
A Growing Streak of Wins
Pro Medicus has been on a roll with a series of notable contract announcements. In late November, the company revealed a $24 million deal with NYU Langone Health, followed by a record-breaking $330 million agreement with Trinity Health. Last week, it added a $30 million deal with Duly Health and Care to its portfolio.
The latest contract with Duke University Health System builds on a prior partnership established in May 2019, when the health system adopted the Visage 7 Viewer.
What’s in the Deal?
The new agreement involves the deployment of Pro Medicus’ Visage 7 Open Archive, a cloud-based module designed for seamless interoperability in complex, multi-vendor environments. As part of the deal, Duke’s on-premise instance of Visage will transition to the cloud, alongside the integration of the Open Archive module.
Additionally, the Visage 7 Viewer contract has been extended for two more years, ensuring its continuation through to 2029. Pro Medicus has confirmed that planning for the rollout will commence immediately, with the migration of Duke’s existing archive forming a key component of the project.
CEO's Optimism for the Future
Dr. Sam Hupert, CEO of Pro Medicus, expressed optimism about the latest deal and its implications for the company’s future.
“This deal confirms our belief that there is a material opportunity for us to sell Visage 7 Open Archive to our existing base of 'viewer only' clients. Not only does this provide clients with a highly performant, highly scalable solution, but it also facilitates their transition from on-premise to cloud, a trend we see continuing,” Dr. Hupert said.
The Road Ahead
Pro Medicus’ strong pipeline of contracts underscores the growing demand for its innovative health imaging solutions.
