Pro Medicus (ASX:PME), a leading Australian health imaging technology provider, has announced a new $15 million contract with Duke University Health System, marking another milestone in its North American expansion. This latest agreement underscores the company’s continued success in providing cutting-edge imaging solutions to major academic medical centers across the United States.

The agreement involves Pro Medicus’ U.S. subsidiary, Visage Imaging, entering into a five-year contract with Duke University. The deal highlights the deployment of the Visage 7 Open Archive to supplement an existing Visage 7 Viewer agreement signed in 2019. Additionally, Duke’s on-premises Visage platform will transition to a cloud-based infrastructure.

A notable aspect of the agreement is the extension of the Visage 7 Viewer contract by two additional years, securing its continuation until the end of 2029. The transition to cloud-based services reflects an industry shift toward scalable and secure platforms capable of handling large imaging data sets efficiently.

The Visage 7 product suite, known for its ultra-fast imaging capabilities, offers solutions designed for both public and private cloud environments. Pro Medicus acquired Visage Imaging in 2009 and has since expanded its presence in global healthcare markets. The product’s seamless integration with existing systems and robust cloud functionality has made it a preferred choice among healthcare providers.

Pro Medicus’ collaboration with Duke University further strengthens its presence in the academic healthcare sector, known for its advanced research and high patient volumes. This contract reaffirms the company’s ability to meet the complex needs of large healthcare systems with tailored solutions.

Duke University Health System, a prominent academic medical center in the U.S., stands to benefit from this enhanced imaging capability. The transition to a cloud environment will enable Duke to optimize storage and retrieval of medical imaging data while leveraging the speed and efficiency of the Visage 7 Open Archive and Viewer.

This strategic partnership highlights Pro Medicus’ leadership in cloud-based medical imaging solutions and reinforces its position as a key player in the healthcare technology sector. With this contract, Pro Medicus continues to solidify its reputation for delivering innovative, reliable, and scalable imaging solutions to premier medical institutions worldwide.
